--Friday, June 15 Update--
Two of the town's four leaf collection trucks that collect lighter yard waste, such as grass clippings, leaves and pine straw, are back in service and circulating town. The trucks join two other collection units that are towed behind vehicles. Town Public Works crews plan to continue yard waste collection Saturday morning, as collection is running behind due to broken equipment.
A third leaf collection truck is expected to be repaired early next week after parts needed for the repairs arrive.
"We're working hard to catch up," said Wayne Wilhelm, Public Works assistant director.
