Motorcyclists: The Holly Springs Police Department is hosting the first annual Law Enforcement "Torch Ride" to benefit Special Olympics of North Carolina. Registration will begin at 8 a.m. at the Law Enforcement Center, and kickstands up will be at 9:30 a.m. Tickets will be available for pre-purchase. The ride will follow a scenic route from Holly Springs to the Gilliam-McConnell Airfield in Carthage for a rest and refreshments break. The ride will then return to Holly Springs to the Lowes Foods parking lot at 112 Bass Lake Road where a BBQ and raffle will be waiting on the riders. Rider entry is $30 and passenger entry is $10, which includes the BBQ lunch and one raffle ticket. Additional raffle tickets will be available for purchase at registration and at the BBQ until the raffle begins. Torch Run t-shirts will also be available for purchase for $15 (cotton) and $20 (technical material).

Motorcyclists are invited to join the first annual Law Enforcement "Torch Ride." A cookout following the ride is open to riders and to the general public.
Not able to participate in the ride? Whether you ride a motorcycle or not, you're invited to the cookout, which begins at 10:30 a.m. at the Lowes Foods parking lot in Holly Springs. Plates will be available for $5 each.
