 Spotlight Vendor of the Week

  1. UNC-REX-Healthcare_PMS542_2018b

This week's UNC REX Healthcare Spotlight Vendor is Vintage Paris Market! Here's a little about Salpi.

How did you get into producing all-natural bath and body products?
I have a love for everything natural and free of chemicals. I suffer from skin issues like eczema and photosensitivity. I need to be careful with what I put on my skin. Also, a few years back I had bad adult acne and after countless visits to the dermatologist with no results I decided to take matters into my own hands. I did lots of research on what is good for skin topically and foods we put into our body. I developed my very popular version of African black soap with plantain ashes. This is a hot seller and very hard for me to keep in stock. I would call this my signature bar of soap. I also changed my diet to included more plant based foods. You can also find my products at www.vintageparismarket.com and mybathfix.com.  I now offer two monthly subscription boxes.

What’s your personal favorite product to use? To make?
My favorite product to use is my African Black Soap as mentioned above. What I enjoy making the most are bath bombs, lotions and coming up with new swirl designs in my soaps.

What do you do for fun in your free time?
When I am not soaping or making bath and body products I am often in my craft studio creating paper art product like, gift tags, cards, party favors and wedding needs and drawing and learning new techniques. These items can be found in my Etsy shop www.vintageparismarket.etsy.com.
