11 a.m. Saturday, December 14, 2019
The Happy Holly Days Christmas Parade is held the second Saturday of every December. The 2019 parade will be held, rain or shine, December 14.
Floats, bands, dancers, decorated vehicles, horses, marching groups and all sorts of entertaining entries will travel Main Street through downtown, starting at Holly Springs Road and ending at Rogers Street.
New this year:
- ABC 11's "Big Weather" Don Schwenneker is announcing the parade for the very first time, alongside local Tim Congleton, who is celebrating a major milestone by announcing the parade for his 25th year. We are anticipating a lot of laughs with this spirited duo. Schwenneker calls Holly Springs home and he is a welcome addition to the Happy Holly Days family.
- Parade route is extended one block, past the new Town Hall Commons development.
- The parade is going aerial! Weather permitting, the Bandit Flight Team is performing a national anthem flyover to kick off the parade at 11 a.m. The team flies vintage aircraft to preserve military Warbird heritage and as an opportunity to salute veterans.
- Pre-parade performances: Enjoy an hour of performances at select locations along Main Street when the road closes at 10 a.m. in preparation for the parade.
